Overview
The Ultimate Fantasy Lineup Challenge (the "Contest") is a game of skill where contestants will compete against one another for both a $500.00 prize awarded weekly and $10,000 in grand prizes awarded at the end of the NFL regular season. Contestants will submit a lineup or lineups consisting of 8 professional football player positions and 1 team defense. The points accrued for each lineup submitted will be based on the scoring system established by FantasySportsGameMaster (FSGM). The object of the game is to score the most points possible with a submitted lineup based on the game's scoring system. The weekly prize will be awarded to the contestant whose lineup is the top performing when compared against its weekly competitors. The grand prizes will be awarded to the top 5 contestants whose cumulative point total at the end of the NFL season 2007 are the highest when compared against their competitors.

How to Enter
To enter THE ULTIMATE FANTASY LINE-UP CHALLENGE, click the "Login" button on the FSGM homepage, agree to abide by the official rules governing the Contest, then follow the instructions to submit your entry, which includes selecting your team name, entry fee level, establishing a username and password, and submitting a lineup. Once successfully registered, you will receive an email confirmation with your user ID and password, which will be used for entering future lineups, editing your lineups, and accessing your Game Day page. All registered and paid contestants will receive an email 48 hours prior to game time, and a second email 2 hours prior to game time, each week, reminding them of the entry deadline for the week and confirming their submitted lineup entries and team name.

How to Play
Once a contestant has registered, paid their entry fee of choice, and has established a team name, username and password, contestants will then be given the opportunity to select a starting lineup. Each player slot of a lineup will be selected via a drop down menu, which will show those player names available for each lineup slot. The pool of players available for each lineup will be players in the Contest database. Each lineup slot will have its own drop down menu showing the available players for that lineup slot. Once a player has been chosen for a given lineup, that player will not be available again for the same lineup for that same contestant, but will be available for a separate lineup entry for the same contestant. For example, a contestant who has purchased one lineup and has chosen LaDainian Tomlinson for one of the two RB slots will not be able to choose LaDainian Tomlinson for the 2nd RB slot of that same lineup. If a contestant purchases two lineups, the contestant will be able to choose LaDainian Tomlinson for one of the two RB slots of each lineup. Each contestant will have the same pool of players to choose from and the player selections made by one contestant will not influence the pool of players available for other contestants. It is possible (and perhaps likely) that some contestants may choose the exact same lineup as other contestants. This is valid and will only have an effect on the weekly and overall standings of the game as some contestants may have the same score. If those contestants who have the exact same lineup as other contestants and their scores happen to be the highest scores for the week, they will enter into a tiebreaker scenario.

Once a lineup has been selected, the contestant will enter their lineup into the Contest. Contestants will be able to monitor their team's progress via the website where a real-time scoring feature will show their player's performance as the NFL games are in progress. Contestants will also see where they stand against their competition by seeing the standings of the top 10 contestants along with a real-time standings update of their lineup.

Standings become final after the final game of the week and the weekly winner or winners will be announced on the website. The website will show the following on a weekly basis:

  • Show the optimum lineup score for that week, which is the lineup score, which would have won the weekly $10,000 bonus payout.
  • Winner or winners for the given week
  • Overall standings of top 10 contestants for the grand prize.

How to Win
Contestants will submit a lineup or lineups consisting of 8 professional football position players and 1 team defense. The points accrued for each lineup submitted will be based on the scoring system established by FSGM. The object of the game is to score the most points possible with a submitted lineup based on the game's scoring system. The weekly prize will be awarded to the contestant whose lineup is the top performing when compared against its weekly competitors. The grand prizes will be awarded to the top 5 contestants whose cumulative point total at the end of the NFL season 2007 is the highest when compared against their competitors.

Starting Lineup
Upon paying their entrance fee of choice, each week contestants will submit a starting lineup consisting of the following player positions (maximum lineup entries per contestant is limited to three per week):

Quarterback (QB): ____________________
Running back (RB1): ____________________
Running back (RB2): ____________________
Wide Receiver (WR1): ____________________
Wide Receiver (WR2): ____________________
Wide Receiver (WR3): ____________________
1 Tight End (TE1): ____________________
1 Kicker (K): ____________________
1 Team Defense (DEF): ____________________

Each contestant will use the drop down menus for each lineup slot to submit a starting lineup. Contestants will be able to change their lineups as many times as they like prior to the deadline time for each week. All registered and paid contestants will receive an email 48 hours prior to game time, and a second email 2 hours prior to game time, each week, reminding them of the entry deadline for the week and confirming their submitted lineup entries and team name. Note that if any player position is left empty, that position will score zero points for that week. If a contestant has purchased a multi-week subscription and does not change their previous week's lineup or lineups, that lineup or lineups will automatically be entered into next week's contest.

Multiple lineup scoring
If a contestant enters more than 1 lineup per week (maximum of 3 lineups per week), the highest point total lineup will be used to determine that contestant's weekly score.

Entry Fee
The Ultimate Fantasy Lineup Challenge provides multiple entry fee options. Some contestants may want to compete only for the weekly prizes while others would be more interested in competing for the end of season grand prize. This game essentially becomes two games in one.

The maximum line-ups per week per contestant are limited to three. There is a pay per play plan and a 3-week subscription plan, and an 8-week subscription plan (half season) that does not change as the season progresses, while the full season plan will decrease in fees as the season progresses. Discounts apply when contestants purchase subscriptions for more than one lineup per contestant.

Referral Program
Any registered contestant who refers at least two other contestants who each purchase at least a full season, one-lineup subscription, will be eligible to receive a full season, one-lineup subscription for FREE.

Any registered contestant who refers at least five other contestants who each purchase at least a full season, one-lineup subscription, will be eligible to receive a full season, two-lineup subscription for FREE.

Any registered contestant who refers at least eight other contestants who each purchase at least a full season, one-lineup subscription, will be eligible to receive a full season, three-lineup subscription for FREE.

Prize money
The guaranteed weekly prize money is $500.00 per week and will be awarded each week to the registered contestant who achieves the highest point total based on the game's scoring system. There is also a weekly bonus prize of $10,000.00 each week that can be attained in addition to the guaranteed weekly prize. The Grand Prize payouts will be as follows: $6000 awarded for 1st place, $2000 for 2nd place, $1000 for 3rd place and $500 each for 4th and 5th places. Weekly Bonus Prize (Optimal lineup bonus)
In addition, weekly winners can win an additional $10,000.00 bonus prize per week if their lineup is skillfully chosen to be the highest performing lineup possible for the given week. In the event that no contestants predict the optimal lineup possible for a given week, the bonus prize may never be awarded. The weekly $500.00 cash prize and the end of season $10,000 in grand prizes are the only guaranteed payouts in this game.

Best performing lineup (Optimal lineup)
Each week contestants who win the weekly prize can also win the optimal lineup bonus prize if their winning lineup is also the best performing lineup possible during that week. The best performing lineup possible consists of achieving the highest points possible at each position within a lineup based on the scoring system established by FSGM. The following describes how the optimal lineup is attained:

All references to "best performing position player" are considered best performing based on the game's scoring system.

Points accumulated based on the game's scoring system will dictate the best performing players at each position. If for example 4 quarterbacks accumulate the same score and happen to be the best performing quarterbacks for the week, any lineup that contains any of these four quarterbacks will be considered to have the best performing quarterback. If, for example, 2 running backs accumulate the same score and happen to have the highest scores for the running back position, in order to qualify for the best performing lineup possible, a contestant's lineup must have both of these running backs chosen in their lineup. If, for example, 3 wide receivers accumulate the same score and happen to have the highest scores for the wide receiver position, in order to qualify for the best performing lineup possible, a contestant's lineup must have all three of these wide receivers chosen in their lineup.

For the running back and wide receiver slots, the order they appear in a lineup will not matter with respect to the best performing lineup possible. For example, if the three best performing wide receivers are chosen, it will not matter what slots the wide receivers occupy as long as they are the three best wide receivers chosen. The points accumulated will determine the optimal lineup.

Notification
When a contestant wins any of the prize money, they will be notified via email and will need to sign an affidavit declaring that they are eligible for prize money due to their age and that they reside in a state that allows prize money to be awarded. Once FSGM receives the affidavit, the prize money will be mailed to the winning contestant within 7 days of receiving the signed affidavit.

Deadline
There is no deadline to enter the game in order to win the grand prize. Those who enter the game at a later date than September 4, 2008 may continue to play for the weekly prizes and grand prizes. Contestants can compete for the weekly prizes up to the 17th week of the NFL season. Those contestants who enter later in the year and plan to compete for the grand prizes may be at a disadvantage since players who entered the game sooner will more than likely have accumulated more points.

Each week, a contestant can edit and submit any of their lineups as many times as needed prior to the weekly deadline. The weekly deadline will be game time of the games that each player chosen will be playing in. Once this deadline is reached, that player position will be frozen and the contestant will not be able to edit that position in his lineup. Any empty positions will be given zero points for that given week. All registered and paid contestants will receive an email 48 hours prior to the start of the first game time each week, and a second email 2 hours prior to that start of the first game, each week, reminding them of the entry deadline for the week and confirming their submitted lineup entries and team name. If a contestant has purchased a multi-week subscription and does not change their previous week's lineup or lineups, that lineup or lineups will automatically be entered into the next week's contest. Not submitting a full lineup for a given week will not disqualify that contestant for the end of season grand prize.

Tiebreakers
If two or more contestants have the exact same highest lineup score for the week, tiebreakers will be used to determine the winner for that week. Multiple tiebreakers will exist. The first tie breaker will be the most points achieved at the quarterback position. The second tiebreaker will be the total points for both running back positions combined. The third tiebreaker will be the total points for all three wide receiver positions combined. The fourth tiebreaker will be the most points achieved at the tight end position. The fifth tie breaker will be the most points achieved at the kicker position. The sixth tiebreaker will be the most points achieved at the defense position. If ties still exist after all applicable tiebreakers, then multiple prizes will be awarded, up to a maximum of three (3). If there are more than three tied teams each week, then all the tied contestants will be awarded an equal share of $1500.

In the event that more than one contestant picks the Optimal lineup and qualifies for the $10,000 bonus prize, all contestants that picked the Optimal lineup will be awarded an equal share of the bonus prize.

In the event of a tie for the Grand Prizes, the same order of tiebreakers used to break weekly ties, will be used with the overall season total scores for each position specified in the tiebreakers. If ties still exist after all applicable tiebreakers, then all the tied contestants will be awarded an equal share of the Grand Prizes for the places in which they finished.
